In my town there is a huge religious celebration every October's second sunday. And is usual at my work that the creation department does a little game of who makes de events shirt for the company. I actually won last year and they made it into our shirt ^^
The correct spelling is Círio (but the "í" is not supported in deviant titles), and is the biggest annual catholic event in Brazil, one of the biggest religious celebrations in the world. I found no video in english but you can see some footage here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnUS9l…;
It sums up as a big celebration for virgin Marry, Jesus' mother, that goes on for days.

I've never heard of Círio before, but the number of people shown celebrating in the video is impressive.
My dear departed grandmother was Catholic; I have little doubt she would've heard of Círio. (I wish she were still alive so I could ask her.)
